Johnston M. "Jack" Ashfield age 91 passed away Friday, August 13, 2010. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Jerry Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Ashfield was a native and life-long resident of Milledgeville. He retired from the Department of Corrections in 1995 and from the Milledgeville Fire Department 1994 he also worked with Boyer Motors for many years. He was preceded in death by his parent Reuben and Anna Miller Ashfield, his wife Kate Veal Ashfield, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, and a Daughter-in-law Mary Ann Ashfield. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and was a member of First Baptist Church of Milledgeville.
Survivors include two sons; Charles Ashfield (Linda) and Scott Ashfield both of Milledgeville, a dear friend Janet Osborne of Milledgeville, two grandchildren; Shelby Calhoun (Chris) of Wadley and W.T. Ashfield of Milledgeville.
