Robert J. Ashfield, 97, died Saturday, May 8, 1999, in a local hospital.
Funeral services were Monday at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dewey Norton officiating. Burial was in Memory Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Ashfield was a native and resident of Baldwin County. He was the owner of Hudson Dealership for several years and a retired aotomotive mechanic. He was a member of Hardwick Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Ashfield Eubanks of Milledgeville; several stepchildren; a brother, Jack Ashfield of Milledgeville; a sister, Ann Ashfield of Milledgeville; two grandchildren, Greg Eubanks and Glynn Eubanks, both of Milledgeville; two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Chris Eubanks of Milledgeville; and several step grandchildren.
