Nettie Mae Polk Pearson, 81, passed away peacefully Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, in Weatherford. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells with Pastor Nathan Buchanan officiating. Interment: Woodland Park Cemetery. Nettie was born Nov. 10, 1928, in Perrin to Robert and Ether Polk. She graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1947 and was later involved in the area's real estate business. Nettie married John Warren Pearson, the love of her life, on Jan. 22, 1955. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, loving friend and neighbor. Nettie loved the beauty of all God's creations. She loved helping her husband tend to their cattle, and in her younger days she enjoyed riding horses. She was always faithful to God, her loved ones and her friends. She was an active member of First Baptist Church and Friendship Sunday School Class, where she had a history of service and a loving church family. Nettie will always be remembered for her great sense of humor that warmed our hearts through the years. Her presence will be forever missed; her spirit will live forever in our hearts. Nettie was preceded in death by both parents and two sisters, Dorothy Schuler and Ruth Greve. Survivors: Her devoted husband, Warren; son, Wayne Pearson; daughter, Sharon Wallace and husband, Dan; daughter, Debra Marr and husband, David; grandchildren, Valerie McConnell and husband, Sean, Joshua Wallace and Ronnie and Reece Marr; brother, R.L. Polk Jr.; sister, Ruby and husband, Bill Shipley; brother-in-law, Weldon Greve; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Wenzel, Ada Moore and Evelyn Pearson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
