Mr. Lacey Ellis, age 66 of Crockett passed away Monday March 10,2003 at his residence in Crockett, Mr. Ellis was born March 11,1936 in Houston County and lived all of his lifetime in Houston County. Mr. Ellis was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Koren Conflict. Mr. Ellis was a member of the Church of God. Suvivors include his daughters Betty Darnell Johnson, Dianne LaRue and husband Kenny all of Crockett, Vicki Upshaw and husband Randy of New Caney; grandchildren Michael Johnson, Kimberly LaRue, Jeremy LaRue, Amanda LaRue and Katlynn Upshaw, sisters Lorine Rhone of Crockett, Hazel Martin of the Woodlands; brothers J.L. Ellis and wife Wonnell, Hollis Ellis and Lonnie Ellis and wife Bobbie, all of Crockett, speical neice Lisa Graham of Arbor; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceded in death by his wife Betty Jo Ellis; sisters Clara Keels, Lucille Lender, Beatrice wright, Laverne Ball, and Ruth Whitehead; Walter Ellis and Bryan Edward Ellis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice in the Pines, 116 S. Rague, Lufkin TX. 75904.
