---Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Parry of Brookfield, a former Bevier resident, were conducted Monday afternoon, June 11, at the Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, by the Rev. C.G. Hardgrove of Columbia, assisted by the Rev. Fred Harris of Brookfield. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Brookfield.
---Mrs. Parry, daughter of Daniel and Almira Roberts, was born Nov. 4, 1871 in Edina, Mo., and died on June 8 in St. Joseph.
---On Nov. 4, 1894, she was united in marriage to James Peter Parry in Bevier, and to this union eight children were born. They made their home in Bevier until 1914, when the family moved to Brookfield.
---Mrs. Parry was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Bevier, and transferred her membership to the Park Baptist Church in Brookfield.
---Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Mary Halloway, Rothville, Mo., Mrs. Gertrude Beason, Los Angeles, California, and Mrs. Lorena Beeson, Atlanta, Mo; fours sons, James L. Parry, Chicago, Daniel J. Parry, Tampa, Florida, Herbert L. Parry, Brookfield; one brother, John Roberts of Elmer, 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
---Mr. Parry, her husband, died on Dec. 24, 1930, and one son [Gomer Harold] died in infancy. Her parents and one sister, Mrs. Almira Parry, also preceded her in death.
