Heimbigner: ( b. Sep 14, 1918, d. Jul 21, 2003) Ruth Arlt Heimbigner died July 21, 2003 in Moses Lake. She was born in Ritzville on Sept 14, 1918, the daughter of William A. and Elise (Lizzie) Schwerin Arlt. She graduated from Ritzville High School in 1935 and married Eldon L Heimbigner on May 24, 1940. They were long time residents of Ritzville, Odessa and Ephrata. Their first home was in Odessa, and then during WW II Ruth worked as a telephone operator in Ritzville. In 1955, they moved from Odessa to Ephrata where Eldon became manager of the Odessa Union Warehouse Co-op branch. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Harry and Lawrence Arlt; sisters Agnes Arlt, Alice Vostral and Dora Schroeder and her first child, Linda Ruth. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Eldon, of Ephrata; daughter Lynda Heimbigner of Federal Way; daughter, Nancy Lilly and husband Tom, of Yakima; and grandchildren. Graveside service was at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery. Danekas Funeral Home was in charge. (notes from Odessa Record: 7-31-2003)
