Dorothy Arlene Barnes Grubb, 84, of Horseshoe Neck Road, died Monday, March 2, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital in Winston-Salem.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at The Timberlake Chapel at Piedmont Funeral Home by the Rev. Steve Martin.
Mrs. Grubb was born Sept. 7, 1913, to Charlie Henderson Barnes and Louticia Young Barnes. She was a member of Churchland Baptist Church and retired from Dixie furniture Co., where she worked for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis William Grubb.
Surviving are a daughter, Peggy J. Shoaf of Lexington; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Parnell of Lexington; and one grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
