Just wanted to ask you for a favor, since I am not a member on the Find a Grave site. Henry Cook was wounded on July 2, 1863, the first day of the Battle of Gettysburg. There were only a handful of men in his Company wounded that day, but the story was to change over the next couple of days! He was only 18 at at the time. His brother, also a soldier, had died the year before. I have often thought about what Henry must have gone through, just a kid lying there with a rifle ball in him, far from home. I'm glad he survived, though, or you would not be getting this email from me today.
Anyway, I'd be most appreciative if you could make this correction.

Henry Cook's tombstone gives his birth year as 1844; however, he was 7 years old on the 1850 census and 18 years old on the 1860 census. Both would indicate that he was born closer to 1842.
