Henry Patterson, long a well-known farmer who lived on the Clear Lake Road, died this morning, 11 o'clock, at the home of his son, Roy Patterson, East Sycamore Street.
In ill health from tuberculosis for a long time, Mr. Patterson had lived in Blytheville since he was compelled to retire from his work.
Funeral rites will be held Tuesday afternoon, 2:30 o'clock, at Cobb Funeral Home with the Rev. E. B. Williams, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be made in Maple Grove Cemetery.
His two sons, Spurgeon Patterson of Jackson, Miss., and Roy Patterson, will serve as pallbearers, along with R. L. Haley, Sterling Conley, C. A. Richardson, and W. D. Hammond.
Besides his sons, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Viola Neal of St. Louis, and three sisters, Mrs. Rosa Langley, Mrs. Dora Phillips and Mrs. Polly Myrks, all of here.
Spurgeon Patterson, who has been making frequent visits here of late to be with his father, arrived last night and Mrs. Neal, who is employed in St. Louis, will arrive late this afternoon.
