Nina Rastedt, 89, of Loretta, died Sunday, April 28, at her home.
Nina Thomas was born November 22, 1912, the daughter of Ira and America (Janes) Thomas. She graduated from high school in Iowa. She worked as a domestic engineer in Morton Grove, Ill., and then did various jobs in the Winter and Loretta areas. She retired in 1974 and moved to Loretta. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing, and playing Scrabble and Yahtze.
She is survived by two sons, J.T. Rastedt, Pasadena, Texas, and Allan Rastedt, Costa Mesa, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and one sister, Emmabelle Morse, Clearwater, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, at the Winter Cemetery with John Burt officiating.
Honorary bearers were Donnie Baumgarten, Brian Edmunds, Fred Glodowski, Steve Hermanson, Lloyd Johnson, Scott Reetz, Roger Sir, Daniel Zett and David Zett.
