J. W. Green , aged 61 years, died suddenly at his place of business on the Clinton Road yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Mr. Green was born in Jones County, but moved to Macon about thirty-five years ago and since that time had been engaged in the grocery business here. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. C. C. Phillips, of Macon; one son, Clay Green, of Macon; three brothers, C. L. , B. M., and A. B. Green, of Gray; and four sisters, Mrs. Tom J. Smith, Mrs. A. C. Robyand, Mrs. C. C. Childs of Macon, and Miss Minnie Green of Gray.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from Burghard's Chapel, Dr. William Russell Owen, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Internment will bee in Riverside Cemetery.
