Funeral services for Leonard E. Aylor, 69, of Corpus Christi, formerly of Orchard, were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, at the First Baptist Church in Orchard. The Rev. David Adcock officiated, with burial in the Orchard Cemetery.

Mr. Aylor was born July 17, 1919 in Orchard to parents, George E. and Maude E. Spiers Aylor. He was raised in Orchard and attended the Orchard Public School. He was of the Baptist faith and worked as a rivetor for Brown Shipyard in Houston.

He died Friday, June 9, in the Retama Manor Nursing Home in Corpus Christi.

Survivors include his sisters, Mrs. Joyce McKinnon of Brownsburg, Ind., Mrs. Glena Geisler of Lubbock, Mrs. Coleen Worthington of Valley Falls, Kan., and Mrs. Bernice Frey of Winchester, Kan.; and brother, Ralph Aylor of Corpus Christi.

Mr. Aylor is preceded in death by his parents, George and Maude Aylor; and brothers, George H., James W., Preston H., Raymond W., Leon, Edison L., and Warren H. Aylor.

Pallbearers for the service were Danny Aylor, James Stewart, Lester Reinecker, Frank Kellner, Roy Bowden, and Jack Reinecker.

Services were under the direction of Knesek and Sons Funeral Home of Wallis.
