She was born Feb. 13, 1909, in Northfield, daughter of Pearl Edward "Perley" and J. Belle (Lennox) Pryor, and attended schools in Riverton, Montpelier and Barre.
On Aug. 13, 1938 she married Gordon Riddell. Her husband retired in 1965 and they moved from their long time residence in South Barre to Madeira Beach, Fla. They returned to Burlington in the mid 1970s and later to Barre to make their home where he died on Nov. 30, 1983.
She is survived by her son Gordon A. "Sandy" Riddell and his wife Jean of Livingston, Texas and 2 grandchildren: Gordon Ian Riddell of Los Angeles, Cal. and Jennifer Anne Riddell of Boston, Mass.; a sister, Mildred Spaulding of Belfast, Maine and a brother Paul Pryor of Athol, Mass. and nieces and nephews. [Mildred Spaulding later died in Belfast, Maine, on December 20, 2010, with burial in Barre in spring 2011. Paul Edward died in 2003 in Massachusetts.]
She was predeceased by 3 brothers; Gerald, John "Jock" and Frank Pryor.
At her request, a private graveside service will be held in the Wilson Cemetery in Barre Town next spring.
