Harley Alan Morgan, 82 of Jesup, Ga. died Sunday, August 8, 2010 in Wayne Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.

The Waycross, Ga. native spent most of his adult life in Wayne County and was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church and the Susanna Wesley Sunday School Class.

He was a longtime Georgia Power Company retiree, a worker with the Wayne County Good Samaritan Center, an avid fisherman, and served his country with the United States Marines, earning several medals during World War II.

Survivors are his wife: Lucille Owen Morgan of Jesup, Ga.; a sister: Dena Seiler of Waynesville, N.C.; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 11, 2010 prior to the services from the church.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 from the Epworth United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Buck officiating.

Interment will be in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Raleigh Coleman, James Smith, Darral Lettice, Ryan Donahue, Jason Owen and Michael Culpepper. Honorary pallbearers will be the Susanna Wesley Sunday School Class members and volunteers with the Good Samaritan Center.
