Addison was predeceased by his son William who died in New Guinea during World War II.
He was a member of the Lyerly Methodist Church.
Here is an article that appeared in the Lyerly Reporter on Nov. 21, 1914:
A. D. Snoots Manager, New Nursery Company, Started Near Town
The Miller Orchard Co., operating extensive nurseries, has a fine young nursery, near Lyerly. The nursery is on a farm of the finest quality, commonly called the old Doctor Bryant or Berry farm, and lies a mile and half south of town. A. D. Snoots, an experienced nursery man, has charge of the huge farm. The nursery is young, having been started up only the past spring but the young trees have grown wonderfully. Mr. Snoots is not only an experienced nurseryman but has experience along all classes of work, and is one of the county's most prominent businessmen. Mr. Snoots is a "good roads man" and any community should be proud of such a wide-awake citizen.
