US Naval Academy class of 1929, a classmate of my father. I met him as a boy of about seven but of course did not really get to know him. He was a Naval Aviator, as were most of my father's classmates whom I met during the 1930s and WWII. He was serving as Air Officer of USS Ticonderoga (CV-14) when he was killed in action by kamikaze attacks during operations against the Southern Japanese islands. Awarded the Navy Cross (posthumous award).died in WW II Pacific fleet, Battle of Leytey in Phillipines, when ship he was commanding was sunk. There is a memorial for him along with his shipmates in the Phillippines.

His parents were Frank C. Miller and Maunta Gay Addington of Indiana.
