He resided in Bronx County, New York prior to the war.
He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on November 24, 1942 in New York City, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in the manufacture of textiles and also as Single, without dependents.
Finn was a passenger on B-25H #43-4915 that was assigned to the 718th Army Air Force Base Unit, U.S. Army Air Force.
B-25H #43-4915 took off, after World War II was over with a crew of 3 and 5 passengers, from Townsville, Queensland Australia on an administrative mission to Biak Island, Papua Province, Indonesia. They never reached their destination.
B-25H #43-4915 was not found until the mid 1990's and they had crashed near Timkua, Dutch New Guinea, Indonesia.
Finn was first declared "Missing" and his status was later changed to "Killed in the "Line Of Duty" once his remains were recovered.
