Son of Riley Hughes and Mary Ann Hughes née O'Maley
of 31 York Road, Teddington, Middlesex

Joined the Royal Navy in 1909 as an Ordinary Seaman.
Able Seaman (J/6007) on H.M.S."Ghurka” in 1917.
His ship was mined and sunk in the English Channel
on 8th February 1917 and he was killed, aged 24

He has no other grave but the sea.
