Cora Belle Laughlin died from tuberculosis.

Postville Review, Fri., 5 Aug. 1898. (condensed).

Cora B. Laughlin was born 20 Nov. 1877, and died 2 Aug. 1898, aged 20 years, 8 months and 13 days. She united with the church 10 March 1895, and had been connected with the Sunday school from earliest childhood. Her patience in suffering and her sweet resignation has impressed all who have been by her bedside. Toward the last she was anxious to go and talked much of the "Home Over There." The 23rd Psalm was a favorite passage of Scripture.

That insidious disease consumption sapped her vitals and Cora went to meet her mother and brothers on the other side. The family has been so afflicted in the past few years that our whole people sympathize with them to no ordinary degree.

She is at rest and may a kind Providence soothe and comfort those who mourn. The funeral was held from the Congregational church on Thursday, Rev. Pollaard officiated, assisted by Rev. Barton. Interment in Minert cemetery.
