Harold E. Wilson was born in 1902 in Nettleton, Missouri, the youngest of 4 children. By the time he was 10 his family had moved to Kansas City where his father had a barber shop on Southwest Boulevard. He was a paid delivery boy for Milgrams Grocers when he was 6 years old and was delivering groceries with a wagon. He married Edith Faye Shaffer in December 1922.
He went to work for Swift's Meat Packing Plant in Kansas City Kansas and worked there for 50 years as an electrician. He was a deacon in the Brush Creek Church of Christ. He and his wife belonged to the Van Brunt Church of Christ, then the 39th & Flora church and on to the Brush Creek Church as the congregation moved south. He was a loving father to his daughter Janet and his three granddaughters, Valerie, Marta and Joy.
