He enlisted in the Army on February 26, 1942 at Fort Devens, Massachusetts. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in the fabrication of textile products with the Charles Cushman Shoe Company and also as Single, without dependents.

Frank was "Killed In Action" in France during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster.
