Posthumous European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal – w/ 1 Bronze Star, WWII Victory Medal, Purple Heart, American Campaign Medal, Pres. Unit Citation Ribbon, Croix de Guerre Ribbon.

He was one of the 35 men of the Naval Combat Demolition Unit (NCDU) lost during the D-Day Invasion.

His remains are marked as "unrecoverable", as he was lost at sea.
