Uncle Teddy in his Navy uniform. he joined Navy by lying about his age. When found out he then got his Mother, Aunt Clara to sign for him and joined the Air force. Was killed when his plane blew up over France after his crew volunteered to run an extra bombing mission. He died when I was 1 year old. i never got to meet him but proudly wore his jump wings.

This is a photo taken in the visitor centre at the American Cemetery at Omaha Beach, Normandy, France, of Pvt Edward N Grove's record in the cemetery archives. It was the end of our visit and I didn't have any further time to visit the grave itself.
