Educated at the Royal Hibernian Military School, Dublin.
A brother Francis Moylan was also a pupil.
Michael Moylan, son of Thomas Moylan and Mary Moylan, formerly Kelly, was born on 25 January 1900 in Guernsey, Channel Islands.
He became a pupil at The Royal Hibernian Military School, Phoenix Park, Dublin. He was not present at the School when the census was taken on 2 April 1911.
He enlisted in Dublin, probably in early 1914, upon completion of his primary education.
He died of Tuberculosis on 26 January 1916 at 5th Northern Military Hospital, Leicester
