Samuel Wear was born in Tennessee to John Wear and Nancy Moore Wear. He married Sarah Bean on March 16, 1789 in Greene County, Tennessee. They had children Jacob, Samuel, Margaret, Robert and Pleasant Wear. She apparently died in Tennessee, before the family moved to Alabama. Sometime after 1820, Samuel married Sally White.
