Our husband, father, grandfather, and friend returned to our Heavenly Father at Alta View Hospital on August 4, 2010 while surrounded by his family.

He was born June 4, 1937 in Thayne, Wyoming. Son of Herbert J. Edwards and Leona Barrington. He graduated from Davis High School.

He married Dawn Spalding on September 7, 1962 in the Logan LDS Temple. He worked at Hi-Land Dairy for thirty years. While employed there, he loved driving his semi-truck. He was also a successful Real Estate Investor.

Galin was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served in various callings working the most with the Scouting program.

He served a mission in his youth to the Central States Mission. He served later in his life another mission with his wife in the Arkansas Little Rock Mission. He has also volunteered with his wife in the Temple and the prison for many years.

He loved scouting, traveling, sports, and spending time with his grandchildren. Most of all, he loved people. He was always the first one out to welcome the new neighbors to the neighborhood. He was a friend to everyone.

He is survived by his eternal companion Dawn S. Edwards. Daughters: LaShelle (Brian) Draper, Tawna (Chad) Woolley, Melody (Dan) Jagoe, and JaNae Taggart. Grandchildren: Michael (LaShelle) Draper; Krysta, Jackson, and Jakob (Tawna) Woolley; Hannah, Danny, and Abby (Melody) Jagoe; and Lauren, Madison, and Benjamin (JaNae) Taggart. Siblings: LaRue Wilmot, Elmo (Mary Ann) Edwards, Velma Edwards, Eva Lee (Ben) Young, and Herb (Penny) Edwards.
