BARBER, SAM. Rifleman. No R/15155. 10th Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps. Born Heckmondwike to Mr & Mrs W S Barber. Husband of Annie Barber, 3 Hill Terrace, Clough Lane, Paddock. Employed as a core maker by Messrs Whiteleys. Attended Queen Street Mission. Enlisted 23.8.1915 at Chester. Killed in action, 3.9.1916, aged 31 years.
Buried in BERNAFAY WOOD CEMETERY. Grave location:- Row M, Grave 56.
