Florence BIRT, 76, Rt. 1, Macy (Nyona Lake), died at 6 a.m. Sunday in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. She had been ill since Tuesday. She was born April 27, 1907 in Fulton County to George and Nellie BACON BAKER. She moved here from Indianapolis in 1965. She was married Jan. 24, 1927 in Indianapolis to Donald BIRT, who died in 1962. She retired from Roberts School for the Handicapped, Indianapolis, and was a member of the Pleasant Hour Club. Surviving are a son, George S. BIRT, Rochester; two daughters Mrs. Ben (Rosine) WHITE, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Lyman (Susan) WILLIAMS, Marysville, Calif.; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a brother, Robert BAKER, Rt. 1, Macy. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Harry BAKER. Burial will be in the Plainview Cemetery, Macy, following cremation. Zimmerman Brothers Funeral Home, Fulton, is in charge of arrangements.
