George BAKER, 84, a native of Fulton county who lived on U.S. 31 seven miles south of Rochester, died at his home at 6:30 a.m. today after an illness of seven weeks. He was born in the same house in which he died. A farmer, Mr. Baker was the last of 12 children of Phillip and Anna Marie (SCHOEN) BAKER. He was born May 11, 1873. On Dec. 22, 1896, he was married to Nellie BACON, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Robert [BAKER], R.R. 1, Macy, and Donald [BAKER], South Bend; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Florence) BIRT, Indianapolis; eleven grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. A son, Harry [BAKER], preceded him in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Ditmire funeral home at Fulton with the Rev. Franklin ARTHUR officiating. Burial will be in the Plainview cemetery at Macy. Friends may call at the funeral home.
