Jimmy Joseph Alford, 58, died Sunday, June 27, 2010, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Alford was born in Georgetown on May 10, 1952, a son of Rutledge Alford and Kizzie Collins Alford. He grew up in Andrews and was a graduate of Williamsburg High School. Mr. Alford was plant manager of Coastal Wire Co. in Georgetown. He was a member of Piney Forest Baptist Church and served his church as Chairman of the Deacons for many years. Mr. Alford was also a member of Boggy Swamp Hunting Club.

Surviving in addition to his parents of Andrews are: his wife, Gina Ethridge Alford of Andrews; two sons, Justin M. (Mandy) Alford and Jeremy J. Alford, both of Andrews; two brothers, Carroll Alford and Don Alford, both of Andrews; two sisters, Judy A. Gray of Greeleyville and Cheryl A. Davis of Orangeburg; a granddaughter, Carmen Grace Alford of Andrews; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be four o'clock Wednesday afternoon, June 30, 2010, at Piney Forest Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Ben Walker and Rev. Thad Jacobs. Burial will be private in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
