Dave Meadows wa born in LaFayette, AL, 19 February 1917; son of Primas and Millie Meadows. He attended public school in LaFayette, and was employed by the Lanett Bleachery and Dye Works before entering the service 25 August 1943. He served in the European Theater with the 370th Infantry, and was killed in action in the Italian campaign, 16 October 1944. Awarded ETO ribbon with one battle star, Purple Heart and Presidential Citation of Death. He leaves his widow, Odessa Meadows.
