John James Allen Jr, 19, of Warren, Pa. died May 11, 1944 during military action in Italy during WWII. He was born in Warren, Pa. on June 30, 1924 to John James Allen, Sr. and the late Marie Bertha Nitche Allen. He was a graduate of Warren High School Class of 1942. He served as a private with the U.S. Army 350th Infantry Regiment, 88th Infantry Division during WWII and was killed in action two months after the death of his mother. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was survived by three brothers, Joseph F Allen, Edward A. Allen and David J. Allen; and a sister, Mary T. Allen of Warren, Pa.
