Staff Sergeant, 89th Cavalry Reconnaisaance Squadron, 9th Armored Division, U.S. Army. Entered the service from Los Angeles, California. Killed in action near the village of Rimbeck, near the town of Warburg in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Posthumously awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
