Pvt Bruno Arcangeli enlisted in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on 14 September 1943.

He entered the U.S. Army as a Private. He completed 3 years of high school, worked as a machinist and was single without dependents.

As a member of Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 17th Airborne Division, Private Arcangeli was KIA when he parachuted from a C47 aircraft flown by the 438th TCG onto drop zone W in serial A-2 during Operation Varsity.
