Frank served as a Civilian and Ferry Pilot with the U.S. Armed Forces in Northern Africa during World War II.

He resided in New York State prior to the war.

Frank was piloting a cargo plane, that crashed for an unknown reason, that was carrying arms and ammunition. It was said that he, with great effort, maneuvered the plane to crash on the forest-cloaked-hill instead of the quiet town which would have left many people dead and properties destroyed.

The plane crashed on a hillside near Ara, Oyo Providence, Nigeria during the war. This is noted as the "first" crash to ever happen in Nigeria and is now a local tourist attraction.

Husband of Evelyn Louise Reardon Cordova who resided in Long Island, New York.

Another American civilian also died in the same crash:
Murray, Ralph W.
Other's may have also died in this crash.
