Patttonsville, Va.— Funeral services for S.Sgt, Ross S. Carter, who died Friday morning at Walter Reed General Hospital, Washington. D. C., will be held at the Pattonsville Methodist Church, Sunday at 2:30 p. m. Burial will be in the Fraley Cemetery.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. J. D. Carter; three sisters, Mrs. G. W, Mann of Ft. Blackmore, Mrs. Fred Kiser of Los Angles, Mrs. Weymouth Palmer of Kingsport; seven brothers: Wright Carter and Jack Carter of Duffield. Va., Fred Carter of Clintwood, Va., S. R. Carter of Pittsburgh, Pa_ Dr. Boyd Carter of Lincoln. Neb., R. M. Carter of Marion. Va., and Dr. J. p. Carter of Williamsburg, Va.

He was a paratrooper in the 504th Parachute Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division in World War II with combat service in North Africa and Europe. He was wounded at the Battle of the Bulge.
