Jewell Thornton
Jewell "Red" Thornton, 72, Clarksdale, Mo., died Monday evening, Aug. 18, 1986, at a St. Joseph hospital.
A lifelong resident of Clarksdale and a self-employed mechanic, he was a member of the Clarksdale Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Beulah Yarnell Thornton, and two daughters, Rita M. Hecker and Linda F. Haskell, both of Maysville, Mo.
Additional survivors include a sister, Dorothy L. Marsh, Vallejo, Calif., and five grandchildren.
Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Clarksdale. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph.
Family visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 this evening at the Bram-Summerfield Funeral Home, Stewartsville.
