Late Pte Ron West.
We regret to learn that Mrs R P West of Cleve, has been advised from the military authorities that her husband SX9796 Pte R P West, previously reported prisoner of war, is now reported died of illness, on January 25th 1944, whilst a prisoner of war in Japanese hands. Late Pte West was a son of Mr and Mrs Peter West and was born at Cowell 28 years ago and was 26 years of age at the time of his death.
