Able Seaman Jack Ziporkin of Calgary, formerly Regina, was KIA 1942 12 03 (age 24) and is commemorated on the Halifax Memorial for servicemen lost or buried at sea. He was washed overboard from the Canadian Pacific steamship S.S. Gatineau Park during a storm. Jack was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Ziporkin of Regina, SK and husband of Lorna Louise Ziporkin of Victoria, BC.
