John William Sincavich was from Bridgeport, Ohio. He graduated from the US Naval Academy, with the class of 1943. Because of the extreme national emergency, the class was graduated a whole year early, in June, 1942. He volunteered for the Submarine Service. On 28 March, 1945, he was aboard the USS Trigger when it was sunk, killing it's entire crew. As was customary, the men aboard were listed a missing in action for a year, before being declared killed in action.
