From the Gonzales Tribune, Thursday, May 21, 1925:
"Dies From Pneumonia
Plini Anselmi, young dairy employee who left here recently for Colma, died in that city Monday, a victim of pneumonia. The body has been brought here for burial, and the funeral will take place this afternoon at 1 o'clock from St. Theodore's church, where services will be conducted by Fr. J. J. Thummel.
Deceased is a brother of John Anselmi of Gonzales and a nephew of H. Lanini of Salinas and V. J. Lanini of San Jose. His parents reside in Gondola, Switzerland.
The young man was employed on the Bedolla & Gamboni and other dairies in Gonzales and Soledad before leaving for Colma. He was a native of Switzerland, aged 23 years, and had been in the United States about five years."
