Aged Berne Woman Dies Late Friday Night After Brief Illness
Mrs. Sarah Lehman, 79, died suddenly at 11:05 o'clock Friday night at her home in Berne after a day's illness of a heart ailment.
She was born near Vera Cruz, Wells county, December 18, 1860, the daughter of Ulrich and Maria Luginbill-Moser. She married Benjamin F. Lehman December 14, 1884 (?), and he died June 29, 1896.
Survivors include the following children: Cyrus Lehman of Berne, Mrs. Cordelia Adler of Decatur, Wierner (?), Waldo and Miss Frieda Lehman, all of Berne; a half-sister, Mrs. David F. Lehman of Monroe township. One daughter, two brothers, one half-brother and a half-sister are deceased.
She was a member of the Mennonite church.
Funeral services will be held at the home at 1:45 p.m. Monday and at 2 o'clock at the Berne Mennonite church, Rev. C. A. Suckau officiating. Burial will be in the M.R.E. cemetery at Berne.
