HERMAN LEHMAN
Herman Lehman, 89, Swiss Village, died Sunday at 9:25 a.m. at his residence.
A retired Lehman Heating & Plumbing Co. employee, he was a member of the First Mennonite Church. He also was a veteran of World War I.
Born on Jan. 18, 1894, in Monroe Township, he was the son of Burkhart and Lydia Sprunger-Lehman and was married to Lydia Neuenschwander on Nov. 4, 1917 in Berne; she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Earl Lehman, Berne; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marilyn) Flueckiger, Mrs. Gorman (Lorraine) McKean and Mrs. Harry (Elmira) Wulliman, all of Berne; six brothers, Harley Lehman, Decatur; Harry Lehman, Leslie B. Lehman, Albert Lehman, Reuben Lehman, and Leo Lehman, all of Berne; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Nussbaum, Berne; Mrs. Viola Stetler, Berne; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First Mennonite Church, with Rev. Kenneth Bauman officiating. Burial will be in MRE Cemetery. Friends may call at the Yager Funeral Home, Berne, after 1 p.m. today. Memorials are to church missions or Swiss Village.
