Marian Regina Kirchner Ostermann 1909 - 2006

CARROLLTON

Marian Regina Kirchner Ostermann, 97, of Carrollton, died Thursday morning, Sept. 14, 2006, at Boyd Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

She was born Jan. 15, 1909, in Bloomsdale, Mo., the daughter of Joseph and Caroline Mueller Kirchner. She married Joseph B. Ostermann on April 21, 1942, in Ladue, Mo., and he preceded her in death in 1950.

She is survived by one daughter, Helen A. (husband, Robert) Southerland of Carrollton; one son, Joseph L. (wife, Judy) of Wildwood, Mo.; four grandchildren, Robert J. (wife, Lisa) Southerland of Kane, Sherrie A. (husband, Philip) Heaton of Carrollton, Jeffrey L. (wife, Natalie) Ostermann of Chesterfield, Mo., and Susan M. Ostermann of St. Louis; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Florence Zoll, Regina Diedrickson and Lucille Bequette; and two brothers, Anthony and Louis Kirchner.

Mrs. Ostermann was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Carrollton where she was a past member of the Altar Society. She was an active member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary and a past secretary of the St. John's Catholic Cemetery Board. She was a member of the Centerville Club and the Mount Gilead Home Extension.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church in Carrollton, with burial at St. John's Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton. Memorials are suggested to St. John's Church. Condolences may be left at www.airsmanhires.com.

OSTERMANN SERVICES

Funeral Mass for Marian Ostermann was celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, at St. John's Catholic Church in Carrollton with the Rev. Henry Schmidt officiating. Organist/ vocalist, Kathleen Bain played and sang "You Are My Sunshine" in addition to other Mass selections. Altar boys were Sam Coonrod and Ryan Palan. Pallbearers were Robert J. and Wyatt Southerland, Jeffrey Ostermann, Philip Heaton, Max Brannan and Joe Schnelt. Burial was at St. John's Cemetery. Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton was in charge of arrangements.
