Grave photo with original cross and headstone with rising sun, of TX4965 Private (Pte) Murray Buxton, 2/1 Army Field Workshop, Australian Army Ordinance Corps, of Glen Huon, Tas. An orchardist in civilian life, Pte Buxton enlisted on 16 July 1941. On 14 August 1942 he was killed in action in Egypt, aged 28.
He is commemorated on the Roll of Honour in Glen Huon Tas, also his name is located at panel 90; Supplementary panel 10 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
