Son of Anna and Hugh Kehoe.
In an assault on the Siegfried Line, Joseph ventured out to aid a wounded comrade, taking out a machine gun nest in the process. Joseph was killed in that action, for which he would be awarded the Silver Star.

His brother John W. also died in the war and the brothers are buried side by side, at the Luxembourg American Cemetery.
