By Bill Chapman
Do you know a man named A. B. Smith? A. B. Smith, a man about 60 years old supposed to live withing about 20 miles of Bastrop, Louisiana, is the object of a search that first started in 1917 and was renewed again again in the 1930's and is now being renewed in 1955.
The two sisters: Mrs. Bessie Smith Joslin and Mrs. Dixie Smith Kinzer, in in Bastrop, Louisiana, today and tonight tracing down a clue received that indicated the missing brother, A. B. Smith, might be in the Bastrop area. The last time A. B. Smith was heard from was in 1931 when he called the family from Monroe, Louisiana (about 25 miles from Bastrop). Since then the family has had no contact with him. The sisters are asking the Bastrop and Monroe community through the Bastrop Enterprise for clues and if anyone knows their brother.
