Maejeanne Rose, 80, 105 Harrison St., died at 3:55 a.m. today, Feb. 1, 2001, at Good Samaritan Extended Care.

Born Feb. 28, 1920, in Vincennes, she was the daughter of C.W. and Harriet (Wilkenson) Harker.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church were she had taught Sunday school and had been president of the Missionary Society as well as deaconess. A 50-year member of the Delta Theta Tau, she was also a member of the Meadowlark Homemaker's Club and a women's Bunco club.

Her husband, Robert Rose, whom she married June 17, 1939, died May 13, 2000.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Martin of Vincennes and Barbara Adams of Olathe; Kan.; a brother, Jack Harker of Vincennes; a sister, Wilma Rose of Flora, Ill.; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home by the Revs. David Easter and Mike Julian. Pallbearers will be David Martin, Brian Martin, Jeffry O'Brien, Patrick O'Brien, Robbie Martin, and Nicholas Martin. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund and the Arthritis Foundation.
