ELLIOTT C. HANNON.

Elliott C. Hannon, for many years a widely known citizen of Montgomery, died Monday in Louisville. Mr. Hannon died at a sanitarium, where he went for medical treatment a few months ago. The news of his death was conveyed in a telegram, received in the afternoon by his family. Mr. Hannon was the son of the late Thomas E. Hannon and Mrs. Sarah O. Hannon. He was reared in Montgomery, and he received his education in the schools of this city and at the Southern University of Greensboro. He took an active interest in municipal politics and for several years served on the city Democratic Executive Committee.

For a considerable period he occupied a position with the city. He was later connected with paving work done in Montgomery. Some months ago his health failed and he went to Louisville for treatment. He was forty-two years of age.

There are left surviving him three children, Margaret Faunce, Dorothy Overton and Wade McBryde. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Charles B. Teasley, Mrs. Henry Mourning and Mrs. Frank Peabody, and by one brother, John Hannon.

The body will reach the city Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock. the funeral services will be held from the family residence at 503 South Perry Street, at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.
