She was the wife of George King Kershaw, who was the son of George Trenholm Kershaw and Adele Allston (King) Middleton (of Mississippi and South Carolina). Leonor's parents were Ramon Farias Bravo (son of Ramon Farias Trevino) and Rita Yzazaga (dau. of Don Ramon Cano & Isabela Yzazaga) of Uruapan Mexico. Her family was instrumental in the development of coffee and textile production in the Michoacan area of Mexico, in the 19th century.

She was the mother of Adele (Kershaw) Thornton, Margarita (Kershaw) FitzSimons, Alice Farias Kershaw (of Hendersonville, NC "Find a Grave #99644340"), and George Petigru Kershaw.
